1.2.5 Traits and Bloopers

I completely forgot to list this lovely lady's traits!

Astrid's a loner, because her mother hated her,
she's romantic, because her grandmother, Sybil, loved romance stories,
and she's family-oriented, because Sybil taught her to be a loving mother
(which ties in with the romance).

She wants to have a big happy family,
and is domestic, since she's so in touch with her womanly side.

~.~ on to the bloopers ~.~

Astrid got so engulfed in her memories that she smashed her sandwich into her pretty face.

The real blooper is this one here:

If you didn't know, when loners get around strangers, they get the "stranger danger" moodlet, and get really tense, and sometimes angry. She was very tense, and started yelling at random sims that came to watch the chess game between Astrid and Alex. Then she made this face.
I couldn't resist taking a picture of it.

I still think she beautiful.

1.2 Chess 101 (with Alexander Goth)

Astrid pulled herself away from the warm fire and good book and decided to make
grilled cheese for lunch.

She made them the way her grandmother used to.

The taste brought back memories of her childhood spent with the gray haired woman.

She thanked Sybil, now in heaven, for taking care of her when her mother failed to.

Astrid had promised, on Sybil's deathbed, to name her first daughter in honor of her beloved grandmother.

A few tears later, Astrid ordered seeds to start a garden.
She planted bananas and grapes, before heading into town.

She found herself walking over to the Magnolia Blossom park.

Astrid spotted Alexander Goth swinging on the monkey bars, and introduced herself.
After Sul-Suls were exchanged, she invited him to a game of chess.
(she did not realise he was better than her)

"Can I put this here, Alex?"

"..."

"Do you even know how to play, Ash?"

"Of course I know how to play!"
...

"At least I think I do..."

"I can teach you the strategy you're lacking, Astrid."

~.~

"...and that's how you play chess."

1.1.5 House Tour

I love this picture, so I'm just going to put it everywhere.
It's my background for the time being.

This is just the house before I added the trees.

And some trees. Just the ones I really like.

I'm guessing it's easy enough to figure out which room is which.

 Study/Office/Music room/Hangout room

Living room/Den

Very little hall

Bathroom
Small yes, but my own bathroom's not much bigger.

Bedroom
This angle shows off the bed

And this angle shows off the chair in the corner, the chest of drawers, and the plant.
That's a teapot and teacup sitting on the table by the chair.

The house is small, but it is just a starter home. I put more of the money into the appliances and the wallpaper.

Astrid did also buy most of Newcrest with only 100,000, so the house won't get upgraded until she has a job and can afford it herself.

Both the house and Astrid Whitlow are on the gallery!
Find them under the hashtag #whitlowland

1.1 Moving In

Astrid stepped in front of her house. Her house. She had spent a year waiting for this.

Since her parents had given Astrid 100,000 Simoleons for her twentieth birthday, she had been waiting for this place to be built.

Red brick, office, bedroom, bath, kitchen, and a fireplace. She had designed the place herself, and decorated everything.

Astrid opened the front door into the kitchen, and knew the red had been the right choice (she had debated if blue would've been better).

She walked inside her new study and brushed her fingers over the desk. She picked up her nice freezer bunny guitar and strummed a few chords before putting it back on the stand.

She went around her dining table into the bedroom, and sat on the bed. The comforter was so soft, and the pillow so fluffy, she laid her head down and fell asleep (and maybe snored) for a few minutes.

She cracked a laugh or two when she saw the clock. It was ten already, so she went into the living room and lit the fire, grabbed a nice book and sat reading until lunch time.
